The race for eco-friendly cars has taken another twist as Fiat announces the upcoming launch of the 600 Hybrid. Scheduled to hit the UK roads in 2024, this model trails closely behind Fiat's recent unveiling of the all-electric 600e. The hybrid variant boasts a fusion of a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V system, and a 28bhp electric motor. This combination sends power exclusively to the front wheels through a contemporary six-speed electric dual-clutch transmission. Fiat emphasizes the benefits of the electric inclusion, noting it enhances the car’s performance, particularly at lower RPMs and during starts. This results in a quieter, more responsive drive.

Much like the 600e, the hybrid will grace showrooms in two trim levels. The base model starts with the Fiat 600 Hybrid, and then there’s the upscale La Prima. If it mirrors the 600e's trim offerings, consumers can expect features like massage leather seats, flashy 18-inch alloy wheels, a convenient hands-free bootlid, and a modern wireless smartphone charger among the added perks.


Financially speaking, the estimated entry point for the 600 Hybrid is around £30,000 by its 2024 release, a tad higher than the outgoing 500X Hybrid's price tag. However, details about the pricing and specs remain under wraps for now.
