Volkswagen's compact SUV, the T-Cross, has undergone a refresh for 2024 and is currently available for purchase.

Despite being the smallest in Volkswagen's SUV lineup, the T-Cross has enjoyed immense popularity, having sold 1.2 million units since its launch in 2019.

As part of Volkswagen's broader SUV lineup revamp, including updates to the T-Roc and Touareg and the introduction of the all-new Tiguan, the T-Cross receives a timely facelift.

This comes amidst fierce competition in the segment from recently updated or renewed rivals such as the Renault Captur, Citroen C3 Aircross, and the Nissan Juke.

The revamped T-Cross lineup comprises three trim levels, with the entry-level 'Life' starting at £23,965. It offers three petrol powertrain options, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSI unit with 94bhp or 114bhp.

The more powerful version provides a choice between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the less powerful engine is paired with a five-speed manual.

The Life trim features fresh styling, including updated front and rear bumpers, new LED headlights and rear lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, multiple USB-C ports, an eight-inch digital cockpit, ambient lighting, and advanced driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, hill start assist, lane keep assist, and front and rear parking sensors.

The interior quality of the T-Cross has been enhanced in this update, with a redesigned dash panel featuring soft-upholstered and high-quality surface materials. Additionally, three new colors—Grape Yellow, Clear Blue Metallic, and Kings Red Metallic—have been introduced.

Moving up the range, the 'Style' model starts from £27,620 and focuses on the T-Cross's aesthetics. It comes with larger 17-inch alloy wheels, distinctive LED headlights with Volkswagen's IQ.Light matrix light technology, silver roof rails, and silver window trim.

The Style model also features touch-sensitive buttons for climate controls, sat-nav as standard, and a more potent 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 148bhp and a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The top-tier 'R-Line' model completes the T-Cross lineup at £28,555, offering a sportier appearance with a diamond-cross pattern on the lower grille, bespoke 17-inch alloy wheels, and a new LED headlight signature.

Inside, it includes sport seats, brushed aluminum pedals, and the 'Digital Cockpit Pro' with a larger 10.25-inch central screen. The R-Line retains the same engine lineup as the Style model.
