Dacia has ended speculation on it's UK pricing for the new Spring EV, revealing that it will cost from just £14,995, two thousand pounds less than the anticpated launch price.

This makes it one of the cheapest cars on sale in the UK, with only the petrol variant Kia Picanto, Fiat Panda and Dacia's own Sandero falling below the £14,995 bracket.

Pre-orders are now available, leading up to the initial deliveries in October, establishing that the Spring will be priced nearly £12,000 less than the Vauxhall Corsa, which is currently the most affordable electric vehicle in the UK.

The Spring was recently confirmed for a UK launch, after undergoing extensive design and technical updates designed to maintain its robust sales performance across Europe.

The entry-level Expression model of the Spring, priced at just under £15,000, comes equipped with a 44bhp motor capable of achieving 0-62mph in 19 seconds. Despite its affordability, the standard kit for this model includes features such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen, USB port, cruise control, electric front windows, and rear parking sensors.

The 64bhp variant starts at £15,995 and reduces the 0-62mph time to 13.7 seconds. This version also upgrades to larger 15-inch wheels. For an additional £1,000, the range-topping Extreme trim offers enhancements like copper-style trim details, electric rear windows, a larger 10.0-inch touchscreen, and wireless smartphone mirroring.

All variants of the Spring are powered by a 26.8kWh battery, providing a range of up to 137 miles. The more powerful versions also support faster charging at up to 30kW.

With an initial pre-order fee of £99, Dacia is inviting customers to secure their place among the first in the UK to experience the Spring, which is anticipated to sell extremely well.
