Nissan has unveiled significant interior updates to its Juke crossover, aiming to cement its status as a top contender in the sales rankings.

As the third-generation Juke marks its fifth anniversary, these enhancements come on the heels of a record-breaking sales year in the UK, where it emerged as one of the nation's most popular vehicles with 31,745 units sold.

The refresh focuses on elevating the vehicle's quality and user-friendliness through the introduction of superior materials, enhanced assembly quality, a larger touchscreen, and improved smartphone integration.


A noteworthy addition to the Juke's lineup is the new N-Sport trim, which now represents the pinnacle of the range, sitting above the Acenta Premium and N-Connecta trims and alongside the Tekna variants. In a strategic move, the entry-level Visia trim has been discontinued due to its minimal sales impact, representing just 1% of the total.

Significant to this update is the expansion of the touchscreen, growing from 8.0 inches to a generous 12.3 inches. This upgrade is complemented by a user-friendly interface redesign, incorporating customizable widgets for quick access to frequently used features. Additionally, the screen's orientation has been adjusted to face the driver for enhanced accessibility while driving.

Externally, the Juke maintains its familiar design, with the exception of new alloy wheel options and, for hybrid models, tires designed to minimise rolling resistance and thereby reduce CO2 emissions.


A customisable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is now standard for N-Connecta trims and higher, introducing a novel 3D display theme and the ability to integrate sat-nav visuals directly between the tachometer and speedometer.


The N-Sport trim boasts exclusive yellow Alcantara dashboard and seat inserts, echoing the newly developed exterior yellow paint. This trim also features a unique quilted pattern on the seat bases and yellow stitching throughout the cabin for a cohesive and striking aesthetic.

Practical improvements include an enlarged glovebox, standard electronic handbrake, and a more accessible EV mode button in hybrid variants, all aimed at enhancing the Juke's convenience and livability.

The engine lineup remains unchanged, offering a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a choice between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission, alongside a hybrid option featuring a 1.6-litre petrol engine, an electric motor, and a 1.2kWh battery.

Continuing its production at Nissan's Sunderland facility, the updated Juke is slated for delivery later this year. While pricing details are yet to be announced, expectations suggest a modest increase from the current starting price of £20,985.
