In its first update since its 2021 launch, the Hyundai Bayon receives a 2024 facelift with enhanced technology and interior features.

Scheduled for release later this year, the Bayon presents a distinctive front end with Hyundai's new LED light bar and Seemless Horizon light signature. The updated design includes a more rugged appearance in the bumpers and a uniquely styled front grille.

Other key improvements include dual 10.25-inch digital screens as standard, featuring wireless phone charging and seamless smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The interior is further equipped with two USB-C ports and a USB-A port, accompanied by customizable ambient lighting and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. Notably, the Bayon boasts over-the-air update capability, allowing drivers to conveniently keep their vehicles up to date without workshop visits.

The Bayon is aimed to compete with the likes of the UK's best selling car, the Ford Puma and the Peugeot 3008.

In terms of driver assistance technology, the Bayon incorporates lane assist, forward collision assist, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, and blindspot monitoring.

The engine lineup is anticipated to align with the outgoing model, featuring Hyundai's 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assistance, providing power options between 99bhp and 118bhp.

Transmission choices encompass a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox or a six-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission.

While UK specifications are yet to be confirmed, the pricing for the 2024 Hyundai Bayon is expected to remain consistent with the current model, starting from £21,570.
