Hyundai Promise Approved Used Cars are now available with a 5-year warranty amongst other goodies

In a progressive step that underscores the Hyundai's commitment to the used car market, the Korean car brand has rolled out its revamped Hyundai Promise Approved Used Cars programme. The standout feature? An industry-first five-year warranty.

For vehicles running on petrol or diesel that are up to 42 months old and have recorded less than 60,000 miles, this extended five-year warranty is now available. The same warranty extends to electric, plug-in hybrid, or hybrid vehicles that are no older than 36 months with a similar mileage cap. However, Hyundai hasn't forgotten about cars that don't fit these criteria; these vehicles will enjoy a 12-month warranty, and for those seeking even more peace of mind, extended packages are available for purchase.

It's important to note that while this five-year warranty is a given for qualifying vehicles, they must be subjected to an annual health review by an official Hyundai Retailer. This annual check is essential to activate the subsequent 12 months of warranty coverage. While there's no mileage constraint for the conventional petrol and diesel vehicles, those choosing electric or hybrid vehicles should be aware of the 100,000-mile ceiling during the warranty tenure.

Hyundai is not merely offering an extended warranty; the entire used car package aims to provide used car buyers with the same level of confidence typically reserved for new car purchasers. This all-encompassing warranty incorporates 12 months of roadside support, a meticulous Hyundai safety and condition assessment, and an independent validation of the vehicle's history and mileage.

That's not all. Additional benefits under the Hyundai Promise include drive-away insurance, a £250 excess cover voucher, a 30-day or 1,000-mile exchange policy, tailor-made finance options, and a surefire trade-in proposal.

In response to the electric revolution, Hyundai retailer sales squads are equipped to provide in-depth insights into electric vehicles. To further instil confidence in EV purchasers, any electric vehicle that falls under the Hyundai Promise warranty plan will be accompanied by a Battery Health Certificate.

With these enhancements, Hyundai is setting a new benchmark, demonstrating that even when purchasing a used vehicle, customers should expect nothing less than the best.

Hyundai have said "Hyundai has always led the way with new car warranties, and with the newly updated Hyundai Promise our used car customers benefit from the same length of warranty cover for their Hyundai purchase. This is a significant landmark for Hyundai and our retail network and we’re extremely proud to be delivering one of the industry’s leading approved used car warranty schemes, bringing the very same reassurance of new car buyers to the used car sales industry."
